Gore Mountain Skiing

Hickory Ski Center
Hickory Ski Center will be re-opening its doors for the 2009/2010 season after being closed since 2005! An even shorter drive south is the small, but friendly, Hickory Ski Center in Warrensburg, New York. This unique ski and sport center is especially suited for families, yet offers the 6th highest vertical drop in New York State. Whiteface Mountain: New York Skiing
An easy drive north of North Creek and Gore Mountain, is Whiteface Mountain located in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks near Lake Placid, New York - home of the 1980 Winter Olympics. There are 80 trails, 11 lifts, an average 230" of snowfall, 282 skiable acres and 37% of expert terrain, 43% of intermediate and 20% of beginners, making this a popular New York skiing destination for advanced and expert skiers.
